FLOWER BOUQUET EMBROIDERY QUILT

Our embroidery-themed quilts proved to be so popular that we have designed another one to add to your collection. This one also uses needlepoint as the inspiration and is a mixture of Solid and Chambray fabrics, beautifully contrasted with a lovely grey Chambray background. The design is made up of just squares in a single size, so there’s lots of easy cutting and the piecing is straightforward too. We’ve also made a pieced backing for the quilt and instructions are given for making this if you choose this option.

FLOWER VASE EMBROIDERY QUILT

This gorgeous quilt is on a similar theme to our popular Embroidery Flower Quilt, as it uses needlepoint as the inspiration. The quilt is also a wonderfully creative way of showcasing our beautiful solid fabrics. The design is made up of just squares in a single size, so there’s lots of easy cutting. The piecing is straightforward and will give you plenty of practice at seam matching. The sky teal background is also pieced as individual squares rather than strips, to continue the appearance of an embroidery.

Like a work of modern art, this colourful quilt will always draw attention with its clean lines and graphic look. Nearly all our Solid fabrics are represented in this design of simple squares and rectangles, creating an excitingly lively mixture.

This quilt is not only easy to make but is a great way to showcase a selection of lovely fabrics from our Solids range. The striking modern design is composed of four asymmetrical blocks, made in different colourways and contrasted with a warm sand background. If you like, it would be easy to change the background to another Tilda Solid of your choice.

This lovely quilt is quite unusual and is reminiscent of floral needlepoint embroideries, recreated here using a subtle mixture of solid fabrics on a dark peacock background. The design is made up of just squares in a single size, so there’s lots of easy cutting and sewing, although for the best result you do have to match up seams neatly when sewing the patches together.

An asymmetrical look is produced by rotating one half of the design 180 degrees, to create the illusion of the much-loved spinning top children’s toy. A pieced backing for the quilt continues the clean, contemporary look and instructions are given for making this if you choose this option.

The quilt is a chance for the many wonderful colours in Tilda’s Solids collection to shine.

This quilt is so pretty and yet refreshingly contemporary, especially when made from solid fabrics. It is made up of a single block repeated in a lovely mix of colours – perfect for you to try out the Tilda Solids range. The curved seams need a little practise, but there are detailed diagrams to help you succeed. Narrow borders of mixed-colour rectangles neatly finish the top and bottom of the quilt.

These two lovely pillows have been designed to accompany the Colourplay Leaf Quilt. The pillows feature a curved block, like the quilt, but only eight of these blocks are used in each pillow, so making a pillow would be a good introduction to sewing curved seams.

This scrappy-style quilt filled with pretty fabrics will always bring pleasure, no matter where it is placed in the home. The fabrics are from many of the Tilda Basics collections, which echo feed-sack and country fabrics that are sure to stand the test of time. It would be easy to create matching pillows for the quilt, or change the background color for a different look.
