The Happy Winter Snowmen are here!

We are very exited to present our new free patterns called “Happy Winter Snowmen quilt and pillow“. These projects have appealed to every sewing friend we have here at Tilda Fabrics all eagerly awaiting the finished explanations. The projects are sewn with our new basic collection Tilda Classic basics.

The quilt and pillow is sewn by Anne Berit Røed Pedersen and quilted by Marianne Nybølet (KarmaQuilt). Explanations and illustrations by Linda Clements.

The Classic Basics collection is based on tree of the most popular Tilda fabrics throughout the years – Tiny Stripes, Stars and Dots – slightly redesigned, adding three new patterns to create a lovely soft basic collection with a million uses. The patterns are hand drawn witch gives them charming homemade look. Tilda Classic basics are already out and about in a shop near you or online.

Free quilts, spread the word!

This season we have released tree cozy Autumn quilts here on tildasworld.com, the Duck Quilt, the Plaid Quilt and the Cross Quilt. You will find the explanations under Free Patterns, so feel free to spread the word to your sewing friends and on your social media.

The quilts are designed by Tone Finnanger in BirdPond fabrics, sewn by Ingun Eldøy and quilted by Marianne Engeset Nybølet. Explanations are written and illustrated by Linda Clements.
All the quilts are designed in two color ways.

The Duck and Butternut Squash are from the new Tilda book Hot Chocolate sewing.

Hot Chocolate Sewing

Make a lovely pot of hot chocolate and get sewing!

The new book Hot Chocolate Sewing has been a labor of love and we are so grateful to hear how well it is received around the world!

This book is all about the indoor pleasures of the autumn and winter seasons and will take you through every room with ideas on how to decorate them with home-sewn projects – every- thing from small treasures to larger projects like quilts. There are projects suitable for the young, for older friends and for family, giving you lots of ideas for your Christmas gifts.

A special thanks to seamstress Ingun Eldøy and quilter Marianne Engeset Nybølet Karmaquilt . Your work is amazing!

All the projects are made with BirdPond fabrics.

The BirdPond Collection is here!

Imagine a small pond surrounded by flowers, trees and shrubs as the seasons pass by. Bustling with activity, insects, frogs, birds, ducks and swans call the pond their home. Everything down to the smallest detail has a purpose for someone.

As days grow shorter and colder the pace slows down, leaves turning red and ginger before being whisked away by the crisp breeze. Winter arrives with a carpet of white snow and blue shadows. Red berries decorate the sleeping landscape for Christmas.

The BirdPond Collection is inspired by the image of life by a pond and takes you trough the colors of the autumn and winter seasons. The sprinkle effect that characterizes this collection is inspired by nature makes all the fabrics work together in harmony to create lovely patchworks.

Tilda Mermaids

Sun-kissed mermaids are relaxing in the sun and enjoying the summer vibe in their starfish bikinis. These cutie’s are available as a pattern in the book Sunshine Sewing and the mermaid with the green – teal tail is also available as a sewing kit. The kit contains all the fabric you need to make the mermaid and comes in a sweet paper bag with scalloped edges.
